The staff were helpful, obliging & friendly. Excellent breakfast and roof top restaurant very appealing. As a city centre Hotel price was goodl. Ideally located for sightseeing Acropolis, and Plaka District, with quaint restaurants. Couldn't be better situated near to Monastriki Metro, for touring the outlying districts of Athens, including local Beaches. Very Thankful to Staff, who showed kindness by keeping our luggage when we returned from a trip to the neighbouring greek islands, to find a 24 hour strike had hit all public transport. Great Hospitality.. Great Place to Stay .... Neighbourhood very safe, and great charactor.....

Booked Standard Room, at side of building, but as Hotel fronts onto Main Street, found this room quiet, and comfortable. Might try Delux next time

We stayed in a room with a garden veranda. Absolutely lovely, with orange trees and bougainvillea in pots. The breakfast in the roof garden is also wonderful with a splendid selection of everything from bacon and eggs to fresh strawberries. The fresh orange juice and the magnificent Acropolis view add to the pleasure. The staff is always very nice and helpful. This little hotel is a true gem!

The room was very comfortable, not luxurious but fine. The small balcony gave a great view of trees and the Acropolis. The breakfast was plentiful and served on a beautiful, flower-filled roof top with Acropolis view. The hotel's location is in the Plaka within walking distance of the Acropolis, Roman and Ancient Agora, Hadrian's Library and lots of roof top tavernas.

They put a single sheet on a double bed. They were not thrilled when we asked for ice.

A hotel with great location and very nice breakfast patio, and the beds were comfortable.

Street noise may be a problem if you need to sleep before midnight. Rooms aesthetically were very basic.

The location was great, close to the Acropolis, Plaka and the Metro. The breakfast on the roof terrace was wonderful, with an amazing view of the Acropolis. The air conditioning fan was extremely quiet because it was outside, which was made it good for sleeping and the room was clean.

The rooms were old, small and the beds were small and hard. We had a triple room for 3 adults and it was a double with a small cot put in. The location and roof terrace breakfast with an amazing view made up for the older small room. We did have to choose a second room because our first room was very smoky smelling and we asked for a non smoking room. The hotel could use refurbishing.

great location! breakfast was top with freshly squeezed OJ and views of athen's glory. room was cozy

just a little nosie on sat nights. but then again you're in the thick of it all.

The location was great, beside an open square with restaurants and almost on top of the Roman Forum, plus great views of the Acropolis. Plumbing a bit old fashioned and ensuite cramped, but rooms clean and with all the basics. Staff helpful and accommodating, but tourist knowledge limited. Lift to floors was good and Rooftop breakfast terrace was lovely.

Plumbing could do with upgrading as bath overflow does not work properly.

In the right part of Athens for a tourist visit. Rooftop breakfast a definite plus.

The fresh orange juice with breakfast was a highlight. The view of the Acropolis from our room on the third floor was stunning.

The bathroom was very small and you couldn't have a shower standing up. The TV was tiny.

The Adrian Hotel can be summed up thus: for the price, you can't beat the location. Everything that needs to be clean and working was clean and working (bathroom fixtures, sheets, surfaces; A/C unit was fine; TV worked); our room had a great view of the Acropolis; breakfast was generous and tasty enough (great fresh fruit and fresh-squeezed orange juice) and the breakfast terrace on the roof has great views. The location is the best part of the Adrian: the side streets are quiet, it's a short walk to Acropolis entrance and is near a Metro stop and in between two public free Wi-Fi areas.

The bad news: it's a big city, so value-for-dollar goes down overall. In this case, that meant terribly old carpet, old bathroom (sink and toilet new-ish, but some pipes exposed through very old wall coverings, water temp on shower badly regulated, shower got water all over the floor--but that seems to be common in Greece), old furnishings, a lightbulb out, and our terrace could hardly fit one chair. But, the bed was softer than elsewhere in Greece, which we appreciated. The staff were not as friendly, overall, as I had been led to believe. The photos on the Booked.net site seem inaccurate, now that we've been there. We'd recommend this hotel for location and generosity of breakfast; if you want romance and have more $$, look elsewhere.

Excellent locaton. Helpful staff. Outstanding breakfasts in a beautiful setting on the rooftop terrace.

I did not like the size and smell of the bathroom. I would have liked to have found more information about Athens (leaflets etc.) in the room.

The staff have continued to support us through the Volcano crisis and have extended our stay with flexibility and continue to focus on our needs! We are still there!!

The staff were excellent! The room is not modern but ok.the best really is the breakfast in the roof looking up to the Acropolis. Worth every penny( cents???). The location is superb, close to the Agora and Hadrian's library. Situated in a beautiful square with two very good cafe/restaurants with very friendly staff. I recommend

The TV was old and cranky, but we didn't go to Athens for that...

The location is in the heart of the Plaka area and therefore perfect for those who want to see Athens (when there are no riots). Even during the taxi strike, it was possible to get to and from the hotel from Kifisiou bus station and the airport. Fantastic rooftop breakfast area.

The view from some rooms is of the Acropolis. There is also a spectacular view of the Acropolis from the top floor where breakfast is served. Breakfast and service are excellent. Location is outstanding.

Older building are charming but not always practical - the electricity was off in my room (the whole floor) for several hours during the night. Staff had contacted maintenance and everything was fine by mid-morning. This was probably just a fluke.
